Capita Insurance Services signs three year deal with the Motor Insurers' Bureau

Capita Insurance Services today announced that it has signed a three-year contract with the Motor Insurers’ Bureau (MIB) to provide volume motor liability services. The deal, worth in the region of £750,000, will help the MIB ensure that legitimate claims from motorists are compensated fairly and promptly while systems for detecting fraudulent claims are improved.

The Motor Insurers’ Bureau has tasked Capita Insurance Services with helping its drive to speed up the detailed claims process for victims of uninsured driving. Under the contract, Capita Insurance Services will provide liability reporting services that determine the potential value of cases as well as their authenticity. Liability reports will be issued following comprehensive investigations across all necessary lines of enquiry relating to a claim, utilising where necessary Capita’s fraud detection capability.

The contract will be delivered by Capita’s newly formed business, Inverita, which offers fraud prevention, detection and management, investigation and recovery services. This business brings Brownsword, Investigation Services and Advanced Validation Services together under one management structure to provide a highly specialised and unique service within the larger Capita fold.
